I genuinely thought it would be promotional kickstarter video for a future project of yours. Which would have been totally fine with me, because you take great care of your work.

If i'm not wrong you used the pencil tool and played with the properties to get that crayon line effect which you pulled of nicely. Great work as usual.

Not much else to add to the subject. I accepted how shitty our world functions.
Life aint fair man, nothing we can do about it.

My favourite episode so far from manwhore industries series.

I couldn't stop laughing, can't exactly tell why. Maybe because their attempt at making a weird twitter comment into a song. Which seems to work somehow. Seeing their recording process was also amusing. Did you add the detail of gooseman shades being see through recently? A nice refined touch.

I feel like this is going somewhere. Keep up the good work.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

cheers. yeh i think i only made his shades translucent in the episode before this one.

I'd like to speak about this subject from an objective point of view.

It's true that all you can see now are most of the time sonic, mario, dragonball z, pokemon cartoons. A lot of game parody cartoons and more. I'm getting pretty tired with them as well. However it's really tough to come up with original material. Let alone make it appealing. Plenty of content is original, however most of the time these are poorly thought out. The most important thing is appeal. A lot of original content lacks this and the audience won't care or lose interest to never return again. Of course already popular established brands are easier to use. You can make parodies, but please make them with the heart. Express your love for the cartoons/games that brought you joy or have nostalgic value. Not for the sake of milking it, to boost numbers. Another thing is your audience demands regular content, coming up with original stuff takes a lot more time. Then you have to animate it also which is months of work.

As for the animation all I can say is try to perfect your pose to pose and from time to time throw in some straight ahead animation. Makes your poses vibrant and interesting. Add some detail, the bare walls were to noticeable. Also try some dramatic angles. Exaggerated poses and dramatic angles are key in animation.

The voice actor for the frog seemed to withhold whenever he had to raise his voice. It's something i see too often, it really is a bad thing to do. My tip is, do the voices when nobody is around the house if you're that worried. As for the neighbours, who cares. For all they know you could be watching a video with the volume turned on really high. If your character has his/her own distinctive voice, they won't know it's you voicing them anyway.

Good luck.

artistunknown responds:

Woo, I wasn't actually expecting any discussion of the subject to come from this, but I'm glad it's happening. I much prefer making original content, and quite frankly I'm pretty good at it. When the time comes that I have/want to make a parody though, I always try to do it on something I'm passionate about and it has to have some wit to it. I never thought about using parodies when your audience demands regular content. That is a good point; original content does take time to come up with and it's easier to make a parody because you already know those characters. Oddly enough for me though, I barely have any ideas for parodies, but lots of ideas for original stuff ;3

Yeah, my posing could definitely use some work. I started this off trying to be limited with the animation so there might've been some things done poorly in there. A few other, longer projects I'm working on have some nicer pose to pose, so maybe that will be better :p. I also did try some straight ahead, but the movements were really subtle so I'm not surprised it wasn't really noticible. I really do need to practice straight ahead more.

As for the bare walls, I was going to put some picture frames and stuff to make them seem less boring, but instead I went for a crazy design on the floor, which probably wasn't smart because now the bare walls are even more noticible, heh.

I really want to do dramatic angles, I just suck at them. I'll get better in time though, and then every angle will be dramatic! Only downside is it will take 10x longer to make something then ._.

I actually had to tone down the volume on the yelling because it was hurting my ears when I played it back in flash. I'm not sure what caused it but it was really loud, maybe flash was just too loud. I don't really hear the holding back, so I can't really determine the problem, but I'll keep it in mind for the next time I need him to voice something. I too hold back on voice acting sometimes, because my throat will hurt easily, but I have probably gotten way louder than I should have at times as well ;3.

Thank you for the review! :D

Alan Moore doesn't want to live in this world anymore.. neather do I *grabs gun*

I like the pacing. The voices are spot on and the sponge themed music fished.. i mean.. finished the job. However i want to be honest, these crossovers happen to often. Personally i don't enjoy them anymore, just like the most recent episodes of spongebob. It used to be funny, but now it gets annoying. I won't over react and take away points from the well animated part though.

I really like to see more original content from time to time. That's all i can add to the mix.

I smiled throughout the entire thing. I can't honestly point out anything wrong.

At first the concept alone automatically gives you certain assumptions. It was actually pleasently refreshing and suprising. I like the character designs. These are not just talking heads, you effectively used body language the netire time. There is a lot of movement. I usually observe those things more than the actual story. I can tell by the the dynamic angles and movements only that it was thought out well. Everything is there. Not even mentioning the duration of the film. Must have taken you ages.

Well performed all together.

When will dr.BEEs ever BEE able to BEEhave himself? Haha. Your work has such overwhelming amount of quality, however i did spot a significant lower amount of frame by frame animation in this one compaired to your previous works. Not quite a explosion, but still a blast.

A pikachu guitar solo, hmm now where have i seen that before.
This was awesome, like all your other stuff.

'Man we been messin with the same girl'

As usual pencilmation delivers excellent material. Love it.
